The Sailing Together International Youth Conference whose theme is based on Psalms 119:9, starts on 30th August 2007 at 1.00 p.m. East African Time to the 1st of September 2007 at the Nairobi West Community Church (Rainbow Cinema Hall), Nairobi West Shopping Center, Nairobi, Kenya.
The nondenominational conference brings together Christian and non-Christian youth from across the continent and the globe to discuss issues such as HIV/AIDS, dating/relationships, patriotism among other challenges facing them today.
Speakers invited include Dr. Alfred Mutua, Chief Government Spokesman, Kenya, Bishop Wilmoss Kiplagat, Tony Kyama, Reve. Robinson Folikwe and Rev. Lekan Oredipe (both from the Redeemed Church of God Nigeria) among others.

The organizing committee drew its membership from the youth representatives/leaders from the following congregations in Nairobi West and its circumference.
I. Nairobi west Christian Community Church
II. Living Word Church
III. Deliverance Church Langata
IV. City Harvest Church- Nairobi West
V. Agape Church- Madaraka
Others invited to sit in the committee include youth representatives from International Christian Church and House of Grace Langata.
OBJECTIVE:
The objective of the conference is to evangelize to the peers through partnership and growing a youth of purpose to take up responsibilities in the ministry.
THE CONFERENCE:
This is a non-residential three-day conference targeting the youth/singles/ young adults of 17yrs and above. Experienced church leaders and young professionals with the aim of role modeling the young will handle topics. There will be an up-to-date coverage of issues that directly affect the young generation such as HIV and Aids, Drugs and Crime, Youth and Politics and peer pressure among others. Various artists have also been invited as a motivation for upcoming and prospective youth artists.
The teachers have been drawn from within and Nigeria for purposes of international networking and partnership in the future. The result is the production of a generation of leaders that depend on the word of God for guidance. Psalms 119:9
Fees
For purposes of catering, those attending the conference will be charged a fee of Two hundred shillings (Ksh. 200.00). This can be paid at the Living word Church, Nairobi West Christian Community Church or Deliverance Church Langata before the conference day or at the registration table during the conference.
Donation:
Any donations to facilitate the conference are highly welcome. The donations can be money, books, writing materials, or any other item(s) that will make the conference a successful. All contributions should be made to the conference through the steering committee and receipted against.
